He is survived by: his wife Christine Hayes Hess; his mother Rose Marie Rosensteel Hess of Gettysburg; his daughter Barbie Marks (Shawn); his grandsons, Dreyton of New Oxford and Deagan Marks of New Oxford; his sisters, Jean Taylor (Gary) of Gettysburg, Lisa Wonder (Roger) of New Oxford and Sherry Youngbar (Ken) of New Oxford; and his nieces and nephews, Toby Taylor, Connor Youngbar, Tammy Taylor and Nikki Wonder.
