In loving memory of Herbert M. Bartell of New Oxford, Pennsylvania, who departed this world on March 23, 2025 at the age of 96. Herbert leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Bartell and Irene Bartell; his wife Betty (Hetrick); and his sons, Douglas and Dean Bartell.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Stiegler (Dennis) of Gettysburg, PA, David Bartell (Sandra) of Littlestown, PA, Denise Carney (Keith) of Hanover, PA and Dennis Bartell (Kimberly) of Abbottstown, PA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kenworthy Funeral Home (269 Frederick St, Hanover, PA 17331). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (269 Frederick St, Hanover, PA 17331).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Herbert may be made to the Adams County S.P.C.A., 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
