He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice C. Hippensteel and Naomi E. Hippensteel (Laughman); and his daughter Shannon. He is survived by: his wife April A. Hippensteel (Akerly); his sons, Brandon M. Hippensteel (Rhonda), Eric P. Conrad of McSherrystown, David M. Hippensteel (Maureen) of Gettysburg and Douglas L. Hippensteel (Samantha); and his siblings, Ronald L. Hippensteel (Genny) of Hanover, Patricia A. Hippensteel of Hanover and Nancy K. Kraber (Keith) of Hanover. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
