He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert T. Mitchell and Margaret Mitchell; his brothers, Tom and Bill Mitchell; his aunt Helen Hoffman; his parents-in-law, Bud and Eleanor Lawrence; and his sister-in-law Jane Zick.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his daughters, Beth (Dan Kreeger) and Becky; his grandsons, Garrett and Forrest; his sister Helen Castronova (Joe); his siblings-in-law, Christine Mitchell, Judy Mitchell, Diane Scott, Gail Post (John) and Jerry Zick; and his cousin Ann Mudgett. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.
He showed his respect for humanity with his tissue and organ donation, and years of blood donations.
