He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter A. Ferney and Anna Ferney (Martinec); and his siblings, Priscilla, Elva, Patricia and Kevin Ferney.
He is survived by: his wife Marguerite "Maggie" Ferney (Dziadyk); his son Bill Ferney Jr. (Mary); his sister Linda Ferney; his granddaughter Jayde Ferney; and his brother-in-law Peter Dziadyk. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
