He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer J. "EJ" Sweeney and Meyrel Gath Sweeney; and his sister Arlene Widmer Sweeney. He is survived by: his wife Sue Namey Sweeney; his children, Scott Sweeney of Foley, AL. and Jill Sheerer (John) of Daphne, AL.; his grandchildren, Dovovan Sweeney (Madeline), Benjamin Beal (Morgan), Kaitlyn Stone (Justin), Brian Beal, Sarah Sheerer, Bailey Beal, Mallory Sweeney, Willy Sweeney and Maggie Sheerer; his great grandchildren, Peyton, Mia, Brooks, Nashton and Krue; his brother James Sweeney (Carol) of Natrona Heights; and his nieces, Tammy Scholl, Kelley Ziolkowski (Tony) and Kristie Singer (Keith).
