Minnie Athey Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 7, 2020, at the age of 101, Minnie Athey of New Kensington, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mohamed Keleel and Fatima Gareeb Keleel; her former husband Joseph Joshua Tusing; her husband Thomas Robert Athey; and her siblings, Carl, Mustafa, Abdul, Sharrief Mohamed, Ann Hasson, Marion Ackerman, Grace Garvin, Goldie Long, Jessie Saye and Shirley Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Minnie Louise Barker (Charles), Shirley Joan Kocon (Wayne), Thomas Robert Athey Jr. and Jaqueline Sue Novak (Richard); and her grandchildren, Tracy Barker, Jamie Barker, Marcie Pyzewski, Gary Moser II, Christine Athey, Michael Novak (Kayla), Jeremy and Melynda Novak. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
