He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Whitacre (Kinney); his son Andrew; his grandchildren, Elliot Rose and Carter Kenneth; his daughter Elizabeth; his grandchildren, Steven, Nicholas, Nathan Szanto and Emily; and his siblings, Pansy McDonald and Dale Whitacre.
