It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Katherine Palchinsky (New Kensington, Pennsylvania), who passed away on August 13, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Asper Shamey and Hupsy Shamey; her siblings, Harry, Lou, Sam, Abe, Casey, George, Mike, Freda Solomon and Rose Thomas; her former husband William Palchinsky; her daughter Kathy; and her son-in-law John Magennis.
She is survived by: her children, Jo Magennis of Stuart, FL, Janene Beattie (Duane) of Arnold, Dan Palchinsky (Marlene) of Cary, NC and Jennifer Conte (Eric) of Riverside, CT.; her grandchildren, Amanda Matus (Wes), Christa Schechla (Jarrod), Jill Kauffmann (Travis), Juli Eaton (Michael), Parker, Logan, Baxter and Will Conte; her great grandchildren, Derek, Dylan Matus, Lincoln, Beckett Schechla and Bella Kauffmann; her stepgrandson Stephen Magennis (Meredith); her daughter Caitlin (Sarah Magennis); and her grandchild Teagan.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hill Crest Country Club (3411 Leechburg Rd, New Kensington, PA 15068).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to People's Library where Kitty worked and retired from.
