Amy Ferezan wrote a sympathy message

“I’m so sorry to hear the passing of Mrs Frederick. She was one of the most influential teachers I’ve had in my life. Spending all 4 years of high school in choir with her. She was apart of a lot of my high school memories. I will always remember her sparkly dresses for concerts. The threat of making us run laps around the busses if we didn’t go to sleep on trips. She was one great lady who truly cared for her students. Deepest sympathies to family and friends.”

Tracy Micknowski wrote a sympathy message

“I am truly heartbroken to hear this sad news. Mrs. Frederick was more than a choir teacher to most of us. She was a mentor and friend through some of life's most troubling years. You get pretty close spending time together rehearsing and going on competition trips. She was fierce in class but she loved each of us and cared in a way no other teacher did. I learned much more from her than singing. I learned to be a better person. My condolences to Mr. F. Tracy Mellinger”

“Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies to your family. Mrs. Frederick mentored so many of us, her students, & treated every one of us with respect, fairness, compassion & love. Choral music (& our stage presence) was the "class" we were in with her, but she taught us all so much more. She will always be fondly remembered & sincerely missed. May you all find hope & strength as you grieve ... many blessings to you, as she gave us too many to count! Nicole (Brittner) Salvo (class of '91)”
