She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Arthur Biernesser and Martha Biernesser (Lebo); her spouse John R. Tihey; her children, Linda Duga (John) of Harwick and Louise McDade (Jeff) of New Kensington; her grandchildren, Zachary Tihey (Hannah), Jessica McDade, Logan Tihey, Connor Tihey and Matthew McDade; and her siblings, Mildred Frolick (late Otto) of Indiana Township, Arthur Biernesser (Eleanor) of Dorseyville, Albert Biernesser (Marie) of Harmar and Flora M. Jenson (late John).
