She was predeceased by: her parents, Freida Margaret Shoemaker Ripper and Dale LeRoy Ripper; her husband Wes; and her brother Errol Claude Ripper (Sonny). She is survived by: her siblings, Patricia Young and Frederick Harold Ripper; and her children, John, Jeff Hessom (Terri), Becky Murdock (Hans), Joe (Susan) and Jason Hessom (Nancy).
