It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phares R. Martin of Mohnton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 21, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Phares leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Z. Martin and Lydia Martin (Rissler); and his siblings, Martha Gehman (Henry), Titus Martin (Florence) and Enos Martin (Anna).
He is survived by: his wife Alice N. Martin (Huber); his children, Glenn Martin (Glenda) of Elliottsburg, PA, Marian Brubacker (Larry) of Colby, WI and Rosanne Weaver (Paul David) of Stevens, PA.; and his sister Mary Horst (Earl) of Geneva, NY.. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Middle Creek Mennonite Fellowship Center (520 PA-897, Reinholds, PA 17569). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Bowmansville Old Order Mennonite Church (911 Oaklyn Dr, Narvon, PA 17581).
