He was predeceased by: his wife Louise Riggin Winters; his parents, Paul G. Winters and Mary Margaret Cary Winters; his daughter Betsy Landon; and his siblings, James Winters and Evelyn Strickland.
He is survived by: his daughter Deborah W. (Jack Hook) of Spotsylvania, VA; his grandchildren, Drew C. Hook (Theresa Hook) and Kavin Hook Miller (Mark Miller); and his great grandchildren, Jack, Sydney Hook, Rory and Abigail Miller.
