He was predeceased by: his parents, Hollis E. Sargent and Margaret Slattery Sargent Malloy; his stepfather William Malloy; and his stepsiblings, William Malloy and Kathy Malloy Surma.
He is survived by: his children, David Hollis Sargent of Conshohocken and Holly Lyn (Robert Swartwood) of Harrisburg; and his brothers, Paul Sargent of St. Augustine, FL and Edwin "Ted" Sargent.
