He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Shirk and Anna Shirk (Horning); his wife Shirley M. Shirk (Buzzard); and his granddaughter Joni Patterson. He is survived by: his children, Ron Brossman (Barbara) of Charleston, SC, Terri Casta (Adam) of Baltimore, Judy Proffitt (Reed) of New Holland, Trudy Boley (late Bill) of New Holland and Rodney Shirk (Mary) of Terre Hill; and his siblings, Anna Mae Wenrich of Morgantown and Harold Shirk of Intercourse. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
