She was predeceased by: her parents, James F. Herr and Olive Beatrice Herr (Fox); her husband Paul L. Coates, Jr.; and her sister Janet Stetter. She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl Semple (William) and Beth Sweigart (Darryl); and her grandchildren, Ashley Sweigart of York, Kristen and Lindsey Sweigart of New Holland.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jean's memory to either Hospice and Community Care of Mt. Joy, or The Arthritis Foundation.
