He was predeceased by: his parents, Sumner Wance and Ruth M. Wance (Winklebelch); his grandson Jacob W. Hershey; and his siblings, William, Malvin, Marshal, Richard and Jean.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte I. Wance (Shawver); and his children, Timothy (Becky) of Port Orchard, WA and Kimberlea Hershey of New Holland. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
