He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Kauffman and Elizabeth Esh Kauffman; his son Daniel Kauffman; and his siblings, Malinda, Sarah (Amos Stoltzfus) and Elmer.
He is survived by: his wife Katie B. Esh Kauffman; his children, Benjamin (Sylvia Kauffman) of Lancaster, Lee (Kris Kauffman) of Quarryville, Mary Ann Stoltzfus of Lancaster and Marvin (Bethany Kauffman) of Paradise; and his siblings, John (late Lavina Kauffman), Benjamin (Elsie Kauffman), Fannie (late Daniel Stoltzfoos), Elam (Mary Kauffman) and Priscilla (Stephen Fisher). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
