She was predeceased by: her husband Frederick C. Lowery; her parents, Elmer Kling and Edna Kling (Evans); and her siblings, Gordon Kling, Elizabeth Watson, Jane Diller and Joanne High.

She is survived by: her children, Dr. David K. (Deborah) and Julia A. (Amy); and her sister Mary Stoltzfus of Virginia. She is also survived by four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
