Catharine S. Messner Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catharine S. Messner (New Holland, Pennsylvania), who passed away on March 2, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roy R. Messner; her parents, Daniel W. Burkholder and Grace Witwer Burkholder; her son Harold; her great grandchild Maverick Messner; her children-in-law, Elmer Rissler, Glen Weaver and Beverly Heck Messner; and her brothers, James, Leroy and George Burkholder.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Ann (Lester Martin) of Ephrata, Janet (Larry Yoder) of New Holland, Nelson (Dora Messner) of East Earl, Mary Jane (Terry Schaeffer) of Narvon, Lamar (Katrina Messner) of Denver and Charles Messner of Denver; and her sisters, Grace Brubaker of Lancaster, Helen Messner of East Earl and Ruth. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Garden Spot Village (433 S Kinzer Ave, New Holland, PA 17557). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
