He was predeceased by: his wife Mary S. Snyder Newswanger; his parents, Paul Newswanger and Rebecca Nolt Newswanger; his son Aaron Newswanger; his grandson Marvin Newswanger; his great grandchild Matthew Sensenig; and his siblings, Paul Newswanger, Harvey Newswanger and Rebecca Nolt.
He is survived by: his sons, Raymond (Lucy), Wilmer (Arlene) and Alvin; his mother-in-law Arlene Newswanger (Sauder); his daughters, Anna Mary (Charles Rozewicz) and Marian; his father-in-law Eugene Zimmerman of Rushville, NY; his daughter-in-law Esther Newswanger (late Aaron Newswanger) of Curtiss, WI; and his siblings, Anna (late Ammon Martin), Levi (Mary Newswanger), Mary (late Ira Nolt), Ivan Newswanger, Allen (Lucinda Newswanger) and David. He is also survived by 44 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Late Home. A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the New Holland Mennonite Church (139 E Huyard Rd, New Holland, PA 17557).
