With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ethel Hopkins of New Freedom, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 25, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Ethel Hopkins to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Darl Teets and Ollie Teets (Wilkins); her daughter Rebekah Sue Phillips; and her sisters, Helen Harman and Betty Combs.

She is survived by: her husband Mark L. Hopkins; her children, Deborah (Tim Bullock), John Hopkins, Rev. Michael A. Hopkins (Shelly) and Elizabeth Choquette; and her sister Winnie Alexopoulos. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. (19 S Main St, Stewartstown, PA 17363).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Freedom Baptist Church, P.O. Box 157, New Freedom, PA 17349 in her memory.
