It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Mae Swords (New Freedom, Pennsylvania), born in York, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 26, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence S. "Sam" Swords, Jr.; her parents, John W. Hyson, Sr. and Cora Hyson (Taylor); and her brother John Hyson, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Brian K. Swords (Lisa) and Brad E. Swords (Shawn Hofler); her grandchildren, Corey Swords and Brittany Boyce; and her sister Grace Swords. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
