She was predeceased by: her husband Edmund D. Markey; her parents, Albert Sheffer and Ethel Sheffer (Fry); and her siblings, Deula, Calvin, Edward, Obed and John.
She is survived by: her sisters, Brenda Coulter (John) of Shrewsbury and Ruth Ann Slenker of York; her brother-in-law John; her nephew Nathan Coulter; her niece Virginia Druck (Todd); her great-nephews, Brandon and Tyler Druck; her niece Lisa Baile (Christopher); and her great-nieces, Abigail and Olivia Herbert. She is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews and countless great-nieces and nephews.
