We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2025, at the age of 79, Gloria Mae Schmitt of New Freedom, Pennsylvania, born in York, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Gloria Mae shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gloria Mae farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Alfred and Amanda Lucille Parrish (Young). She is survived by: her husband Harry Richard Schmitt; her daughter Suzanne Peeler (Raymond); her grandchildren, Alexander of Fairfax, VA and Julia Peeler of Fairfax, VA; and her siblings, Charlotte A. Shaver (Ralph II) and Charles A. Parrish II (Donna). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. (24 N 2nd St, New Freedom, PA 17349). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
