He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Boyd E. Hines and Oneita P. Hines; his daughters, Colleen Hines Beltz (Sam), Lindi Heidlebaugh and Abbey Heidlebaugh LeCompte (Kenny); his grandchildren, Matthew Beltz, Julianna Beltz, Abigail Beltz, Seth Heidlebaugh (Amanda), Daylon Gohn, Donovan Gohn, Katelin LeCompte and Kilby LeCompte; his son Ryan E. Hines; his siblings, Vicki Hines, Michael Hines (Silvyia) and Stephen Hines (Brenda); and his daughter Maureen "Mimi" McGrellis of Georgia. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
