He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Henry and Vivian Ruth Ewel (Golden); his wife Thelma Jean Ewel; his granddaughter Ashley Eckert; and his brothers, Harry, Robert and Frank.
He is survived by: his sisters, Dorothy, Ruth Caples and Mary Ellen Gorgone; his stepchildren, Vincent, David, Mike, Tim Knee and Robin Eckert; his sister Florence Bywater; his stepchildren, LaBonna Lee, Joy Karns, Bedford, Ilgra Eckert and Kelly Miller (Patrick); and his grandchildren, Shawn Curtis and Melissa Curtis.
