He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles B. Palmer and A. Rachel Wisner Palmer; his wife Betty M. Byers Palmer; and his siblings, Cora Jane Palmer, Esther Lute, Sara Ambrose, Arnold and Henry Palmer.
He is survived by: his children, Janet L. Matson (Herbert) of New Florence, Walter L. Palmer (Ally Ann) of Seven Valleys, PA and Charles H. Palmer Jr. (Sharon) of Latrobe; his brother David Palmer (LoraLee) of Ligonier; and his grandchildren, Ashley Zindash (Adam), James Matson (Mallory) and Aaron Palmer.
