He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl K. Whipkey and Alice M. Whipkey (Houston); his wife Gloria A. Whipkey; his daughter Carla Reed; and his brother Paul B. Whipkey.
He is survived by: his son John Whipkey (Linda) of Ligonier; his granddaughter Laurel Ross of Ligonier; and his great grandchildren, Haileigh and Elliott.
