He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kennedy and Anna Kennedy (Kemler); his wife Janice Marie Kennedy (Baker); his son Sherman A. Kennedy; and his siblings, Patricia, Betty and Dave.
He is survived by: his children, Alisha Hixson (Owen), Angelene Drake, Jeniene Kennedy, Delilah Kennedy and Joseph Kennedy; and his siblings, Ronald, Cleve, Fae, Mary, Ken, Paul, Deana, Joseph and Karen. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
