He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Hershberger and Cleo Hershberger (Detwiler); and his brothers, John and Charles Hershberger. He is survived by: his wife Joan Hershberger (Furry); his children, Nancy Anne Hershberger (Ed Majewski), Melissa Mae Mellott (Tom), Thomas Hershberger and Matthew Hershberger; his grandchildren, Samuel Mellott and Hillary Rodak (Nick); his great grandchild Luke; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Connor and Maddy; and his siblings, George, Robert, Jerry Hershberger and Lois Kyper.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in Max's name can be made to the Southern Cove Volunteer Fire Company or the Southern Cove EMS.
