He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Simon and Margaret Balant Simon; and his wife Agnes Sofranko Simon. He is survived by: his daughters, Suzanne Simon of New Eagle, Beth Simon (Robert Snyder) of Pittsburgh and Julie Simon of Pittsburgh; and his grandchildren, Molly Simon (Nico Torralba) and Carlos Snyder.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Frye Funeral Home, Inc. (427 W Main St, Monongahela, PA 15063). A prayer was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Andrew the Apostle Parish (722 W Main St, Monongahela, PA 15063).
