He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert McCreery and Glendora McCreery (Blystone); his wife Dorothy J. McCreery (Marsh); his son Donald B. McCreery Jr.; his siblings, Duane "Ike", Dale "Butch" McCreery, Phyllis Teribery and Janet Watkins; and his brothers-in-law, Blaine Short and James Merichko Donald.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Newhouse (Gary) of New Alexandria; his grandson Dylan Munshower (Erin); his siblings, Charles "Chuck" McCreery (Linda), Greg McCreery, Karen Miller (Ralph), Lois Short and Deborah Merichko; his sister-in-law Marie McCreery; and his nephew Charles "Chuckie" McCreery (Nenalyn).
