He was predeceased by: his parents, Harris Huffer and Mary Shenck Huffer; and his siblings, Marlin and Genevieve Covert. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen L. Huffer; his daughters, Jennifer Culbert (Robert), Jill Myers (Darryl), Joellen Rowe and Jacqueline Heckrote (Terry); his grandchildren, Erin Green (Dustin), Alicia Obercash, Meghan Corbesero (Steven), Katharine Busillo, Evan Heckrote and Maxwell Heckrote; and his great grandchildren, Blake Jacoby, Jay Smith, Natalia Green, Braeden Busillo, Matteo Green and Quentin Green.
