He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmen Koran and Concetta Koran (Perna); and his sister Stephanie Koran. He is survived by: his wife Judith "Judy" Perna (Oblinger); his sons, Mark Thomas Perna (Nina Kim) of Pittsburgh and Scott Francis Perna (Jonathan Leff) of San Francisco; his grandchildren, Emily Quinn Francis Perna (Josh Smith), Kira Kim Perna and Ian Kim Perna; and his great grandchild Ripley Louise Perna.
