He was predeceased by: his parents, Shade Golden and Bertha Golden (Welborn); his stepson Joseph D. Wissler, III; his stepgrandson Joseph D. Wissler, IV; and his siblings, Harvey Golden, Swanee Pittman, Robey Golden, Leo Golden and Joseph Golden.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Kay Golden (Slothower); his stepchildren, Kimberly "Kim" Apgar of Dauphin, Michelle "Mickey" Speaker of Camp Hill and Jeffrey "Duke" S. Wissler, Sr. (Nancy) of Dillsburg; his daughters, Michelle Smith of Virginia and Patricia "Patsy" Shaw; and his sister Helen Garris of Elkin, NC. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren; his 10 great-grandchildren.
