He was predeceased by: his parents, Domenic Bernardo and Nellie Bernardo; and his brothers, Albert Bernardo, Valentino Bernardo and John Bernardo.

He is survived by: his wife Doris M. Bernardo; his daughter Barbara Mickle (John); and his siblings, Bonnie Ricker, Mary Willman, Stella Aquiler and Edward Bernardo (Palm). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
