He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Wynne Cameron Brandt and Aaron Wilbur "Bill" Brandt; his wife Mary; and his brother Peter Cameron Brandt of Evanston, Illinois.. He is survived by: his children, Wendy Hefflefinger (Dave) of Hummelstown and Dave Brandt (Heather) of Silver Spring, MD; his grandchildren, Ellyn Hefflefinger Rothgeb (Chris) of Richmond, VA, Ian Hefflefinger of Syracuse, NY, Lydia Brandt of Silver Spring, MD and Wesley Brandt of Bellingham, WA; his great grandchild Hugo Rothgeb; and his pet Heidi.
