He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Kent, Sr.; his brother Joseph Kent, Jr.; and his nephew Joseph Kent III. He is survived by: his mother Carol Kent (McCormick); the mother of his children Bobbie Grannis; his children, Christina Kent (Brendan), Aimee Caldararo (Christopher), Michael Kent (Sarah) of Beaver Falls, Stephen Kent, Jr. (Hope) of Beaver Falls, Brian Kent (Katelynn) of Beaver Falls, Jonathan Kent (Abby) of Beaver Falls and Daniel Kent (Shyanne); and his siblings, James Kent, Sr. and Tami Kent. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren.
He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed rooting for Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Steven prided himself on his charitable donations to many organizations, particularly St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and was a member of the Christopher Reeve Foundation.
