Shirley Ann Barr Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ann Barr of New Castle, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clair K. McConahy and Rachael "Tillie" McConahy (Gardner); her husband William "Bill" James Barr; her sisters, Mildred Rupert and Joann Kalajainen; her daughter Jeanne Williamson; her son-in-law David E. McCosby; and her brother Ralph McConahy.

She is survived by: her daughters, Deb McCosby of New Castle, PA and Janet Leasure (Doug) of New Castle, PA; her son-in-law Mike Williamson (Paula) of Canfield, OH; her brother David McConahy (Joyce) of Saxonburg; her sister-in-law Betty McConahy; her grandchildren, Jake McCosby (Erin), Rachael McCosby, Dawn Nagel (Aaron), Adriana Blackburn (Andrew), Doug Leasure (Maria) and Aimee Castaing (Edwin); and her great grandchildren, Riley, Piper, Quinn McCosby, William, Adam, Rebecca, Abigail Blackburn, Lily, Reuben Nagel, Javier Castaing, Mira Dougherty and Julian Leasure. She is also survived by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Castlewood Cma Church (660 Harmony Baptist Rd, New Castle, PA 16101).
