He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Rico and Rose Rico (Bucci); his wife Esther Rico (Stone); his son Samuel Rico, Jr.; and his siblings, Henry Rico, Anthony Rico, Annie Johns, Lucy Nard, Jenny Grego, Nellie Itona and Elizabeth Houston.
He is survived by: his daughter Janet; his son-in-law Anthony Schepp; his grandchildren, Michael Palkovitch and Kayla Hedstrom (Ryan); and his great grandchildren, Scarlet Palkovitch and Xander Palkovitch.
