She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Ward and Rachel Ward (Laury); her husband Edward V. Gatewood; and her siblings, Clarence, Chester, Richard Ward, Clarissa Ervin and Doris Hannon.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Taliaferro (Christopher) of Royal Oak, MI; her granddaughter Alexis McCullough of Silver Spring, MD; and her brothers, Meryle Ward (Shirley) of New Castle and Paul Ward (Evelyn) of New Castle. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
