It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mervin Schrecengost of New Castle, Pennsylvania, born in Fryburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 22, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Georgia Celeste (Wyknoop) and Harold Burton Schrecengost, Sr.; and his brother James "Jim" Schrecengost. He is survived by: his siblings, Harold Burton Schrecengost, Jr. of Richmond, VA and Judith A. Courson of New Castle, PA; and his sister-in-law Barbara Schrecengost of Rimersburg, PA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services (758 Main St, Rimersburg, PA 16248). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
