We are sad to announce that on August 25, 2024, at the age of 65, Lawrence G. Forand of New Castle, Pennsylvania, born in Athol, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Lawrence has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Forand (Sherk); his son Michael Benard of Fitchburg, MA; his stepfather Charles Morrow (Patty) of Inverness, FL; his siblings, James Forand (Kelly) of Athol, MA, Tim Forand (Barbara) of Ocean Springs, WA, Theresa Robichaud-Prue and Marie Porter (Richard) of Athol, MA; and his sister-in-law Cathy Prue of Manchester, MA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mack Family Funeral Homes - Fiske Murphy & Mack Chapel (110 New Athol Rd, Orange, MA 01364). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
