He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Dean and Catherine Dean (Arthrell); his daughter Vicki Dean; and his siblings, Larry Dean and Bessie Dean.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia J. Dean (Hooks); his son Darrell Dean of New Castle; and his sisters, Louise Domenick, Margie McCleery and Mary Bougher. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
