She was predeceased by: her parents, Elve J. Pope and Arbie Rodgers Pope; and her husband Alonzo Shepherd. She is survived by: her sons, Eric Stanton (Kara) and Anthony Stanton; her stepchildren, Rita Sims, Arther Shepherd (Shirelle), Janet Shepherd and Lonnie Shepherd; and her niece Ericka Corbin. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
