Carol J. Smolnik Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol J. Smolnik of New Castle, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 12, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Carol may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Kemp and Cecil Kemp (McMullen); her husband William E. Smolnik; and her siblings, Donald, Leslie Kemp and Vivian Domen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Holly Rodgers (Lloyd) of Franklin, PA, Marsha Penwell (Tom) of New Castle, PA and Sheree Gray (Glen) of Wilmington, NC. She is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
