He was predeceased by: Mary Oakes (Zeranick). He is survived by: his parents, Robert W. Oakes Sr (Shirley) and Conway; his wife Brenda Halstead (Harper); his children, Amy Jo Whitby (Tim), Palm Beach Garden, Amber Oakes (Joe Bosh) and Randy Dunlap (Sue); his grandchildren, Brian Dunlap, Kira Hanlon, Vanessa, Ariana, Calixta, Adaline and Quentin Bosh; his siblings, David Oakes (Beth) and Denise Scriva (Tom Crawford) of Economy Borough; his friend Carl Kimmerer; and also, East Palestine and Hermitage.
