She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyril F. Schaefer and Helen P. Schaefer (Cooper); her husband Thomas "Duke" Engel; and her brother John Joseph Schaefer. She is survived by: her children, Jack Engel, Richard Engel (Theresa), Valerie Almquist (Thomas) and David Engel; her grandchildren, J. T. Engel, T. J. Engel (Caitlin), Julie Fabyanic (Bryan), Gabriel Engel (Nadia), Laura Nicholson (Ryan), Danyelle Boyd (Mark), Jaimie Selepec (Justin) and Dustin Almquist (Samantha); and her great grandchildren, Jenna, Chelsea, Brianna, Ivan, Trent, Nolan, Kate, Charlotte, Cora, Maci, Bryce, Scarlett, Cooper, Sydney, Norene, Marie Pisano, Lois Kaercher, Crissy Pensentstadler, Jan Engel and Dora Sabino.
